AS118 – Diploma in Textile Technology

The Diploma in Textile Technology program is a 3-year programme, geared towards textiles and apparel industries which covers the manufacture of textile fibres to form fabrics, involving various production processes such as spinning, weaving and knitting. Other than that, students would be able to enjoy hands-on experience in every process including textile testing and quality control.

This program is offered ONLY at UiTM Cawangan Negeri Sembilan, in Kuala Pilah campus. The duration of the full-time programme is 3 years.

 

Admission Requirement

Fulfills the University requirement with credits in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics
  • Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology / Science / Apparel Studies / Sains Tambahan / Sains Gunaan / Teknologi Kejuruteraan / Lukisan Kejuruteraan

and

Pass English Language or pass pre-diploma (Science) UiTM.

 

Program Structure

This programme is divided into 6 semesters with the expectation that graduates will be equipped with knowledge and skills in the combination of science and technology, art and design and business management.

AS116- Diploma In Food Technology

Diploma in Food Technology is a 5 semesters (2.5 years) program which aims to provide student with basic knowledge about the biological, physical and chemical makeup of foods. Students will be exposed to scientific concept underlying food processing, food preservation, food engineering, food analysis, food quality control, food hygiene technique, food legislation, sensory evaluation and product development. The program is developed to covers wide range of science application subjects which aimed at developing skillful food technologist and scientist which are competent to serve the industry. 

 

Admission Requirement

General Requirement

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or other equivalent qualifications with (5) five credits including Bahasa Melayu/Malaysia.

Specific Requirement – (SPM)

Fulfill the general requirement with credits in:

  • Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics
  • Biology/Physics/ Food Processing
  • Chemistry

and

  • Credit in English

 

Program Structure

Diploma in Food Technology is structured to be a 5 semester program. Students will be exposed to lab techniques, visits and extracurricular activities during the semester. The program applies blended learning both in class and off class with an Outcome Based Learning in the front structure.

Food Technology graduates with good academic results may further their studies at any local or foreign institutions of higher learning. These opportunities include:
